The Shift 90 Day Challenge Steps for Hair Stylist's / Life Success

“SHIFT”90 Day Challenge
Each 1 Teach 1 - Will elevate the Beauty Industry outwardly by changing it inwardly.

To call the Beauty Industry, the best industry in the world, you should have some proof. If you simply use statistics, you would be wrong. To simply announce it to the world with a joyful noise would be a self proclamation that you love what you do.

For our industry to be great, to be the best, we have to be our best. To be our best, goes further than an internal because I said so, way. To be our best must be external, I am great at what I do Because I AM A GREAT STYLIST. What makes you your best? What makes you a great stylist? The answer is simple. Discipline, Focus and Time.

This is a 90 Day Challenge to teach you discipline, keep you focused, and give you time.

This is your 90 Day Challenge. To elevate the Beauty Industry outwardly by changing it inwardly.

Steps for Shift
For best results you should enlist a Shift Mate. A Shift Mate is someone that has also accepted the SHIFT 90 Day Challenge. If you do not have one, it’s OK. Use the The Shift Facebook page to find a Shift Mate. Still, if you do not have a Shift Mate, remember this is your 90 Day Challenge. You have everything you need within you.

Shift Steps
1. Appreciate -Make a list of at least 20 things that you love and value. Things in which, you are grateful for. Those things you want to give thanks for. To appreciate is more than gratitude. Appreciation can transform emotions. It is a dynamic energy force that will attract successful and joyous experiences.

2. Believe in the power of Each 1 Teach 1 – A Shift occurs when you give of yourself to the betterment of someone else. Teach someone something today. It can be a fellow professional or a client. The goal is that every day you teach 1 person 1 thing.

3. Shift Log your process – Write what you have noticed today regarding steps 1 and 2 in your Shift Log. Do this daily through your 90 Day challenge.

4. Accept – Be open to learning something new today. Everyone and everything is in your life for a reason. Be open to the message. Log it in your Shift Log.

5. Be Ready – Be ready to be The Best Stylist. “Luck favors the prepared man.” Ask yourself and answer the question. Am I ready to be The Best Stylist?

6. Humbly ask someone for help.

7. Think about a service that you have done. Now Ask yourself; How could I have improved that service? My greeting? Style Evaluation? Shampoo service? Hair style? Color? Cut? Giving advice? Teaching? Asking for add ons? Rebooking? Asking for referrals? Making recommendations? Ask a peer for feedback?

8. Shift Log your progress- Write what Shifts you have experienced / encountered up to this point. Even if you are on day one. At the end of each day write them in your Shift Log. Share with your Shift Mate. Also go on line and post to the Shift page to share.

9. Reset - Think about where you can improve. Set backs are inevitable. Forgive yourself and reset. Start at Step one tomorrow. Even if you miss a day or 2, it’s OK. The point is not to quit. So you lost focus, Regroup and Reset...Make a SHIFT.

10. Give a Gift. Show an attitude of gratitude by saying please and thank you. Tell someone of your process. Your SHIFT

The SHIFT Game “Hide and SHIFT”

Select 1 that you will do during the entire 90 Days. Don’t change it stick to it for 90 Days. Second Pick a few different ones that you will try everyday during your SHIFT 90 Day Challenge.

Places you can Shift
1) Before you go to sleep, choose what you will wear tomorrow. While you’re getting your clothes, think about your goal of becoming your Best you.

2) Go to sleep 15 minutes earlier. Think about what tomorrow looks like. Where you can Shift.

3) Wake up 15 minutes earlier. With that time, think about your day and how today, you will Teach 1.

4) Eat a balanced breakfast. Think about today’s goals.

5) Take a 20 minute walk or run.

6) Turn off the radio on your drive to work or listen to relaxing music.

7) Turn off your phone for an hour.

8) Sit in a quiet place for 20 minutes. Meditate on your goals; To be my best. Each 1 Teach 1.

9) Clean something in the salon today.

10) Automate something - Automate a bill payment or savings deposit. Ask yourself; How will this help me be my best?

11) Before you eat, take a minute to be thankful for the time you have to sit and the food you are about to eat.
Keep in mind, the simplest thing to do is nothing. Remember if you do nothing, nothing will change. SHIFT occurs when you make a shift and do something.
There are 7 days to a week. Approximately 30 days in a month. That is 3 Months to complete your 90 Days.

90 Days to be Your Best.
